Viewed: 34Helan Qingxue Vineyard is one of the first-generation benchmark premium wineries in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain, Ningxia, that obtained recognition from top international wine competitions at the earliest stage. Its precise address is located in the Ganzikeng area beside National Highway 110, Zhenbeibao Town, Xixia District, Yinchuan, situated on the south-facing alluvial fan golden viticulture zone facing the main peak of Helan Mountain (Suyu Valley) at an altitude of approximately 1180 meters. The highly permeable gravel soil here makes it a widely recognized textbook-style representative of small-scale premium wineries in China. Founded in 2005 by a pioneering local wine industry team in Ningxia, it is one of the first batch of wineries in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain that realized the "small yet refined" ingenuity-driven winemaking model. The winery operates only over 120 hectares of self-owned core vineyards, where the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines have an age of more than 20 years, with full-process meticulous manual management. Its iconic "Jiabeilan" series dry red wine won the International Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards as early as 2011, marking the first time that a Chinese wine claimed the top honor in this top-tier global competition, which completely broke the overseas market's cognitive bias against Chinese premium wine. To this day, the winery still retains the pure winemaking aspiration of the first-generation premium wineries, and is equipped with a small immersive tasting room and an old-vine vineyard sightseeing trail. Visitors can get close contact with the first batch of wine grape vines planted in the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain, and deeply experience the ingenuity precipitation in the initial stage of Chinese premium wine development.
Winery Transportation Guide
Self-driving: Starting from downtown Yinchuan, drive north along National Highway 110. After passing Zhenbeibao Western Studios, continue driving 3 kilometers north, and follow the exclusive road signs of the winery to reach the destination. The whole journey takes only 35 minutes, and exclusive free parking spaces are available at the winery entrance.
Public Transport: Take the special cultural tourism direct bus bound for Zhenbeibao from downtown Yinchuan, get off at the Ganzikeng stop, and walk along the sightseeing trail inside the vineyard area for 10 minutes to directly reach the winery gate.
Reservation Exclusive Service: For tasting visitors who make an appointment 2 days in advance, the winery provides free guided tour and explanation service for the old-vine vineyard. Group visitors can additionally apply for exclusive access to the winery's underground wine cellar.
